This is a list of some of the Great Books we will be reading this year in 3rd grade.
We will post the books everyweek from this list that we are using to brainstorms ideas about the books.

BENJY AND THE POWER OF ZINGIES by Jean Van Leeuwen. Skinny third grader Benjy tries to build up his body by eating Zingies.
BEARS ON HEMLOCK MOUNTAIN by Alice Dagleish. Only Jonathan believed that there were bears on Hemlock Mountain.

JENNY ARCHER, AUTHOR by Ellen Conford. When her teacher asks the class to write their autobiographies, Jenny's life story has more imagination than fact in it.
THE JOSEFINA STORY QUILT by Eleanor Coerr. In 1850, Faith travels west with her family and her pet hen, Josefina.
